The NSM/Sean Nelligan Foundation Golf Classic |
|
Little Falls, NJ On June 9th, NSM held its eighth annual golf outing at the Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ benefiting the New Jersey Special Olympics, an organization providing sports training and athletic competition in 22 sports to over 16,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities throughout the state. The event was a huge success, as not only did all the participants enjoy a great round of golf (despite the tremendous heat), but we have now raised $400,000 towards our $500,000 goal. These proceeds will continue to go towards the Special Olympics Tribute Patio presented by the Sean Nelligan Foundation at the Special Olympics New Jersey Sports Complex in Lawrenceville, NJ. The all-day event included golf, a dinner reception, raffles, and a silent auction. Notable participants included former NY Giants Pepper Johnson and Carl Banks, CBS newscaster Maurice DuBois, as well as two Special Olympic athletes, Brad Hennefer and Sam Pignelli. In addition, four-time Emmy Award winner Steve Adubato served as the emcee for the evening. Many thanks to all of our enthusiastic sponsors who helped make the day possible and such a wonderful event as always. |
