Colorado State Joining Forces with 105.5 ESPN Radio
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State’s “Bold New Era” now extends to radio coverage of the Rams’ football and basketball programs.
Director of Athletics Jack Graham, Nelligan Sports Marketing and Front Range Sports Network, Inc., today announced a five-year partnership that will provide fans comprehensive radio coverage in football and men’s and women’s basketball.
Colorado State is the anchor sports property on 105.5 ESPN, and will be featured throughout the year with daily updates and promotions.
“This is an important step for Colorado State Athletics to deliver our product to our fans,” Graham said. “Partnering with 105.5 ESPN and the Colorado State Radio Network through Nelligan Sports Marketing will provide our fans throughout Colorado not only our game broadcasts but additional programming, news and promotions year-round. The association with the ESPN Radio brand positions the Rams where we want to be. I believe our fans will benefit from this partnership and will find it even easier to hear our games in more places.”
The new partnership includes live coverage on 105.5 FM ESPN Radio in Denver, for all football and men’s basketball games, and selected women’s games.
Additionally, 105.5 ESPN will carry all weekly football coach’s shows during the fall, and basketball coaches’ shows during the winter.
“105.5 ESPN is proud to be partnered with CSU athletics,” said Tom Manoogian, general manager of 105.5 ESPN. “We are excited to be part of the vision that the University has for its athletics and we look forward to bringing the broadcasts to the Front Range!”
FM 105.5 ESPN, as part of the partnership becomes the flagship station on the Colorado State Radio Network, reaching across the state of Colorado.
Network coverage in football will include a two-hour pre-game show, as well as a one-hour post-game show, featuring interviews with Jim McElwain and members of his squad. Ram fans will hear McElwain’scomments live from the locker room after each game, as well as player interviews.
Basketball coverage will be just as extensive, including 30-minute pregame and postgame shows. Men’s coach Larry Eustachy will be featured before and after every game, as well as interviews with Ram players.
Selected women’s games will also be broadcast on 105.5 ESPN each year of the five-year agreement. Similar to the men’s program, new head coach Ryun Williams will provide comments before each game, and again following the action. Ram players will also join the broadcast for postgame comments.
The partnership begins July 1, 2013, and concludes following the 2017-18 men’s and women’s basketball seasons, respectively.
Nelligan Sports Marketing, Colorado State’s media rightsholder, plans to add additional stations to the network next spring, to provide fans throughout the state wall-to-wall coverage of Ram athletics.
